Cut/Copy and Paste in Vim

Note: this is for vim, not vi.

• Position the cursor on the line you want to start from
• Press V (uppercase V) then use your cursor to highlight the text
• Press y to copy or d to cut.

Note: you can also use v (lowercase v) to select characters instead of full lines.
